Our American friend, John Mann, has co-authored a book on happiness. The book describes the struggles of many Americans to be happy and the obstacles that prevent happiness in a stressful culture that puts so much emphasis on success. Using decades of research by two American psychologists, the book reveals the way the past lives on in our daily lives, resulting in bad habits, bad relationships, and more. While some of these problems are particularly American, the general theme, the psychology of happiness, is a fascinating subject common to all cultures. Worldwide distribution rights for the book have already been sold, and the book will be translated into Portuguese at a future date.

The Four-Step Solution to Unlocking Your Natural State of Happiness

By George Pratt, PhD, and Peter Lambrou, PhD, with John David Mann

Foreword by Larry King

We are meant to be happy. Instinctively, we all know this, somewhere deep inside. We all know what it’s like to feel a burst of delight. Every one of us has at some point in our lives experienced a sense of ecstatic joy, of euphoria at the sheer sensation of being alive.

Have you ever wondered why that experience has to be so rare and fleeting? The answer is, it doesn’t.

Beneath the surface of ordinary life—undiagnosed, untreated, and often unspoken—there is a pervasive cloud of unease affecting many us. According to two eminent psychologists from Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, this “fog of distress” is the result of events in our past that have left lasting impressions at the psychological, cellular, and energetic level. It is the reason so many of us feel unloved, guilty, ashamed, fearful, or unsafe, and what lies at the root of addictions, sleeplessness, bad habits, recurring conflict, and unsatisfying relationships. And it typically is so deeply embedded in our psyche that most of us are not even aware of it.

Identifying, rooting out, and transforming that fog of distress—allowing our natural internal sun to shine, so to speak—is the subject and mission of a new book, Code to Joy: The Four-Step Solution to Unlocking Your Natural State of Happiness.

Combining six decades of clinical experience, Dr. Pratt and Dr. Lambrou have developed a revolutionary program for rediscovering—and never again losing—your innate happiness in four simple, proven steps. Using the latest in cutting-edge research to address body, mind, and biofield all at the same time, their simple, powerful program has transformed the lives of more than 45,000 clients, including professional athletes, top executives, and celebrities.

Talk-show icon Larry King, who wrote the book’s foreword, calls it “a brilliant formula for tapping into your highest potential,” and adds, “I predict it will change many people’s lives for the better—including yours.”
