FESP creates Agency for Internationalization of Paraná
The Secretary of Commerce and Industry of Paraná, Ricardo Barros, is pinning his hopes on the increasing international competitiveness of the state. Among his ideas is the creation of the Paraná Internationalization Agency, whose format has been discussed in meetings with leaders in the industry. On January 25, at the FESP headquarters, teachers and officials presented a plan for the internationalization of careers. The idea is to create an international environment for students, where the students’ own professional experiences abroad contribute to the training, making the curriculum unique.
A workshop will convene technicians in the Department of Industry, Trade and Mercosul Affairs, chambers of commerce, consuls, federations and foreign trade policy agencies to define the format of the Agency for Internationalization of Paraná, the body that will expand the state’s participation in the market internationally. The second meeting to discuss the creation of the Agency will bring together over 20 institutions, 15 consuls and representatives of 17 chambers of commerce, among them the president of Brazil’s Exporters Association (AEB) and the Union for Foreign Trade of the State of Paraná, Zulfiro Antonio Bósio.
