On his birthday, April 19, Roberto Carlos began a tour that started in his hometown, Cachoeira do Itapemirim (where he hasn’t set foot in 14 years) and travels Brazil until April 19, 2010, finally arriving in New York City where he’ll begin his international tour.

For the musical set of the new show, which features musical direction and arrangements by maestro Eduardo Lages, Roberto chose from among more than 500 of his songs, composing 56 albums released in Brazil and that marked the various stages of his career.  The tour boasts impressive numbers.

Three tractor-trailors will navigate simultaneously nearly 42 thousand kilometers of the country carrying 70 tons of sound equipment, lighting, staging and dressing rooms. As they tour the country, the team of 54 people take a plane, two buses, 60 cars, 40 vans and will stay in nearly a thousand hotel rooms. Just on the Brazilian tour, Roberto Carlos will tally up 50 flight hours, sing about 35 hours and distribute a total of 3,456 red roses (12 dozen at each show) and 864 white roses (three dozen each night).
