International Storyteller Visits Curitiba
On March 1, renowned American storyteller Marc Levitt visited the International School of Curitiba. In his role as consultant, educator, and storyteller, Levitt gave workshops for teachers, parents and students about the importance of writing in the constant pursuit of knowledge and enduring education – the basis of ISC’s philosophy.
The storyteller also took the opportunity to talk about Third Culture Kids (TCK’s) – children who grow up in cultures different from their parents’ culture or their country of origin. Drawing on more than 20 years of history with people who have experienced this phenomenon, Levitt selected stories that helped showcase the positive effects that a diverse multicultural society provides students.
ISC was one of only four international schools in Brazil that received the educator, who also visited Campinas, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte. His visit to Curitiba was sponsored by ISC’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTA).
